GRID doors by Albo
Designed to connect
GRID is a collection of interior doors designed as part of the interior rather than as separate functional elements.
Four designs explore line, proportion, division and relief in different ways. Each has its own character, while a shared design language allows the doors to be used individually or combined throughout an interior.
One family, four characters.
A subtle transition in surface division and relief creates a refined interplay of lines and depth. GRADIENT, RHYTHM, INTERVAL and DIVIDE were designed from a distinctive design language. That is the essence of GRID.
GRADIENT
A subtle transition in surface division and relief creates a refined interplay of lines and depth.
RHYTHM
Repetition and variation between surfaces create a clear rhythm and balanced composition.
INTERVAL
Proportion and spacing define the composition, giving the design a distinct graphic character.
DIVIDE
Strong vertical lines and symmetrically divided surfaces create a clear and balanced structure.
Detail defines the design
The character of GRID becomes particularly visible up close.
Profiles, grooves, depth and relief bring definition to the different compositions. As light moves across the surface, these details become pronounced, adding subtle depth without overpowering the space.
Two interpretations
Each GRID design is available in two executions:
The premium stile-and-rail door gives the composition greater depth and a more pronounced relief.
The grooved-line door translates the same design into a subtler surface treatment using precisely milled lines.
Both originate from the same design principle, offering different ways to introduce GRID into an interior.
Color as a connecting element
GRID is available in eight selected Piet Boon Paint & Plaster colors:
NORTH, BIRCH, SHELL, ROCK, EARTH, TERRA, MUD and COAL.
The same color can be applied to the door, frame, skirting and wall. This allows GRID to blend ton-sur-ton into its surroundings or create a subtle contrast.
Part of the interior
GRID is designed to work in relation to the elements around it.
The collection can be combined with Piet Boon by Formani door hardware, Piet Boon Paint & Plaster, and complementary Piet Boon collections for lighting, flooring, tiles, wall finishes and window coverings.
Together, these elements allow material, color and detailing to continue naturally from one space to another.
