Bathroom The Hague
Warm Contrast in Chevron
In this The Hague residence, two bathrooms form a harmonious whole. Both spaces are designed in a refined style, balancing calm and warmth.
The primary bathroom is generously laid out, featuring a COCOON bath in the color Pebble at its center, a double shower, and an extra-long COCOON washbasin, also in Pebble. The stainless steel taps in a brushed gold finish and shower sets by COCOON provide a sophisticated contrast to the soft beige tones that recur throughout the home.
The walls surrounding the shower and washbasin are clad in Salvatori’s Crema d’Orcia Select natural stone, applied in a Chevron pattern. Designed by Piero Lissoni and inspired by woven fabric, the texture creates a subtle interplay of light and shadow. Thanks to the artisanal production process, each tile is unique—adding to the space’s character. The shower is treated with a PVD coating and features NANO anti-fingerprint technology and an anti-bacterial coating for enhanced durability and hygiene.
The floor is finished with large 1200 x 1200 mm Sand tiles by Piet Boon for Douglas & Jones – a serene foundation that makes the bathroom feel light and spacious. Accents such as the LUMEN candleholder by Serax and the Piet Boon Job stool enhance the understated sense of luxury.
The second bathroom seamlessly aligns with the design of the main bathroom.
The same Chevron wall tiles and materials return, along with an adjoining dressing room. In the guest toilet, Pietra d’Avola natural stone with Tratti texture is combined with a Pebble washbasin and COCOON taps. Here too, material, color, and texture subtly enhance one another.
