Studio Piet Boon was commissioned to design the interior of a two story luxury metropolitan penthouse in the bustling city of New York. Matching the wishes- and cosmopolitan lifestyle of the client, our interior design for the penthouse was designed to correspond with both the lively energy of New York and at the same time the character of the client. Balancing the fabric of the city with tranquility, creating a spacious yet intimate, sophisticated, urban residence. A real home away from home, a place to unwind, functioning as the perfect backdrop for gatherings of family and friends. A Studio Piet Boon interpretation of a cosmopolitan New York penthouse.
An intimate atmosphere was created by harmoniously integrating different natural light infused spaces within a single flow. Mindfully incorporating the client’s exquisite art collection into the interior of the penthouse, allowed for a curated eclectic mix of art, objects and colors that perfectly correspond with the rest of the interior design. A self portrait of an artist placed in a way that suggests his company during any meal. Our aim was to design an exciting and balanced colorful whole with a sense of humor.
