Anne de Jongh, Principal Product Designer at Studio Piet Boon, shares her vision for the LAYERS rug collection—a unique collaboration with the Italian brand cc-tapis. This collection, characterized by subtle contrasts, refined textures, and a muted color palette, brings harmony and a sense of unity to interiors with multiple spaces. Featuring 18 different designs, the LAYERS collection offers a wide range of possibilities for perfectly coordinated interiors.
An integrated experience for multi-space interiors
The LAYERS collection offers a unique solution for multi-space interiors. The concept, Customized unity – Harmonious variety, revolves around creating balance through a combination of custom-made and perfectly coordinated rugs.
“For the LAYERS collection, I was inspired by the desire to create rugs that add warmth, depth, and cohesion to diverse interiors. My goal was to develop a design that feels organic while seamlessly connecting different spaces.”
Color and texture as connecting elements
With two color palettes—DUST and SMOKE—and carefully chosen textures, the LAYERS collection not only adds visual depth but also enhances the natural cohesion within interiors. The result is a tailored experience that connects spaces in a harmonious and engaging way.
