Monumental Villa Germany

The roof, foundation, and façade—including stonework and stucco—were renewed, along with a new entrance staircase and expansive windows, respecting the original design while enhancing its grandeur. A basement extension introduced a spa, gym, and a spacious swimming pool, elevating modern comfort. Blending heritage with contemporary refinement, Studio Piet Boon preserved the home’s traditional character—ornate moldings, doors, and ceilings—while introducing a clean, minimalist aesthetic to complement its original order. The result is an inviting interplay of classic elegance and modern sophistication. A light, fresh color palette amplifies the generous proportions and abundant natural light, reinforcing a sense of harmony throughout the interiors.

Once defined by distinct stylistic contrasts, the villa’s spaces now flow seamlessly while retaining their individuality. The ground floor hosts both formal and informal living rooms, a grand dining area, and a spacious kitchen. The main suite on the first floor encompasses a bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet, office with lounge area, and archive space, while guest quarters are thoughtfully arranged on the upper levels. At the very top, the attic serves as a spacious multifunctional office with a marvelous view.

A standout feature is the enclosed winter garden—a space affectionately named the Gucci Room by the design team. With its lush ceramic detailing and abundant natural light, this roofed, wraparound space captures the essence of the home. It embodies the project’s central theme: a timeless balance of past and present, tradition and innovation.
