Following the successful design of the championship trophy in 2021, Studio Piet Boon has once again been entrusted with redesigning the famed 1939 trophy, initially presented by Prince Bernhard of Oranje. This effort underscores a renewed appreciation for the trophy’s historical significance, while infusing it with a touch of modern elegance.

Studio Piet Boon goes beyond merely crafting an award; they are creating a treasured collectible. Honoring the original 1939 design, the trophy has been elevated to iconic proportions, harmoniously bridging past and present.

Collaboration Royal Delft

Over the years, motor racing has carved out a prominent place in Dutch culture, symbolizing national pride. In homage to this, the Royal Coat of Arms of the Netherlands is prominently incorporated into the trophy’s design. Adding to its uniqueness, the trophy is crafted from ceramic. In collaboration with Royal Delft, masters of Delft blue since 1653, the trophy has found its ideal artisans.

On August 27, all eyes will be on who gets to lift this coveted trophy.
