Bathroom Layered Dike House

Bathroom in balance

This bathroom forms a seamless extension of the adjoining bedroom. Two generous openings create a natural flow between the spaces, allowing them to be experienced as one. Daylight enters through the dormer windows, reaching deep into the bedroom and enhancing the calm, spacious atmosphere.

The layout is symmetrically organized along the roof ridge. On both sides of the bed, a doorway leads into the bathroom, where the double washbasins and shower area take center stage. This central zone features darker materials, including Autumnus Dark natural stone for the basins and the shower panel. The surrounding surfaces are kept light to capture the soft daylight and maintain a subtle contrast.

Positioned beneath the dormer, the freestanding bathtub acts as a sculptural focal point, framing the view outside. Opposite, a custom natural stone bench mirrors its form and offers a quiet place to unwind. The Piet Boon by Douglas & Jones SAND tiles in beige and Piet Boon Paint & Plaster NORTH on the walls bring everything together in a harmonious composition of light, warmth, and refinement.
