Waterfront villa

Work in progress

This newly built villa sits on the shore of one of the most scenic lakes in the Netherlands, offering expansive views across the water. Its position defines both the orientation and the architectural concept. Large openings and generous bay windows frame the landscape and draw nature inside.

Scope

With a footprint of nearly 390 m² and a total floor area of approximately 700 m², the home offers ample space. The layout includes four bedrooms and a generous primary suite, strategically positioned to balance privacy with openness.

Architectural concept

Flat ceramic rooftiles give the villa a distinctive silhouette within its surroundings. The façades combine materials in a harmonious composition. The warm-toned Petersen brickwork on the lower level contrasts with the timber cladding on the upper floor.

Functionality & setting

The boathouse provides space for a boat as well as storage for watersport equipment. Parking on the property adds everyday convenience. Sightlines throughout the home are carefully curated to create a harmonious relationship between the house, the water, and the garden.
