Countryside villa
Work in progress
Nestled in the peaceful Zeeland countryside in the southern part of The Netherlands, this 330 m2 villa strikes a delicate balance between sturdiness and elegance. It is designed to blend the homeowners’ unique tastes: her affection for Japanese-inspired serenity and his inclination toward minimalist robustness.
Building upon the blueprint from Rothuizen architects, one of our design teams re-envisioned the floor layout to improve functionality. They also enhanced the interior materials and introduced a sophisticated lighting plan.
Â
The entrance hall welcomes guests with an elegant powder room and an adjoining wardrobe. As one progresses through the hallway with its steel and glass pivot doors, the spacious living room unfolds, radiating warmth and elegance with its double-height ceiling. Adjacently, the dining area is thoughtfully positioned near the contemporary kitchen.Â
The expansive kitchen, along with the hallway and living room, features tailored niches to showcase personal art pieces. A striking natural stone main staircase leads to the bedroom level, housing a spacious master bedroom, an en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet, and two guest bedrooms with attached bathrooms.
Inside, the floors combine wood and natural stone, chosen for their harmonious shades. Warm plastered walls complemented by frameless doors and flush plinths blend seamlessly, setting the stage for understated elegance. This serves as an ideal backdrop for the darker wooden millwork, ensuring the overall interior experience remains perfectly balanced.
