Located in a beautiful and stately neighborhood in Amsterdam, Studio Piet Boon’s design team provided this former school with a completely new and timeless interior.
The starting point was to bring the character of the Amsterdam School, of 400m2, to the inside and combine it with the features of the surroundings and the functional requirements of its new residents. Classic white walls are effortlessly complemented with the warm tones reflected in the various natural materials such as wood and natural stone. For a more robust space, a workspace and showroom have also been added, both of which blend into the ambiance of the house and interior. Throughout the redesign, the authentic detailings are combined in a refined way, contributing to the harmonious atmosphere of this warm and secure family home.
