OVIO is the first lighting collection jointly developed by Studio Piet Boon and Deltalight. The subtle transition from circle to oval is its defining design signature. A recognizable form that makes lighting an integral part of the architecture while preserving the fixture’s individual identity.

One design language, multiple applications

The distinctive light opening gives OVIO its own identity and creates an understated rhythm across the ceiling. Compact proportions and three finishes allow the collection to complement a wide range of interiors.

Recessed, surface-mounted and track-mounted fixtures share the same design language. This creates cohesion across different spaces and applications, from residential interiors to hospitality and commercial environments.

The form explained

The transition from circle to oval is partly inspired by the design language of American artist and sculptor Richard Serra. This shift in form brings a sense of movement, weight and perspective to the design. The shape also subtly references the Piet Boon by Formani INC door handle, connecting it to Studio Piet Boon’s broader design language. The detailing gives OVIO depth and character without visually dominating the space.

Design and technology in harmony

Studio Piet Boon defined OVIO’s form, proportions and spatial intent. Deltalight translated this vision into a technically refined product family. The technology serves the design, with attention to visual comfort and a replaceable light source that supports long-term use.
