Cadzand Beach Villa

Work in progress

In the serene vicinity of Cadzand, our client is creating a personal haven for their family – a beach villa. This two-level abode, including a cozy basement, is designed for comfort and privacy. The living spaces flow effortlessly on the ground floor, while the first floor is designed for a good night’s rest. The basement not only offers storage but also houses a bar.

Nestled into the landscape, the villa sits subtly below street level, allowing our design team to navigate height restrictions and craft a secluded backyard. Sustainability is at the heart of this home. Despite the compact nature of the plot, hidden flat roofs accommodate solar panels, unseen from the street. Thick walls serve as a thermal regulator, offsetting windows to cast soft shadows within.

Materials and colors are inspired by the beach’s tranquility. Inside, natural stone, stucco, and woodwork echo the textures of the shore. The villa’s exterior features subtly tinted limed brick walls and a classic thatched roof, embracing the philosophy that in simplicity, we find luxury.

Just a stone’s throw from the beach, dunes, and the bustling village street lined with shops and hotels, the environment is as inviting as the villa itself.

Stay tuned for updates.
