Albo Deuren
About the collaboration
Albo develops high-quality interior and exterior doors, windows and frames from its Dutch headquarters and production facilities in the Netherlands, Germany and Romania.
The strength of Albo lies in the combination of craftsmanship and modern technology. With production, finishing and logistics largely managed in-house, the company can respond quickly and deliver bespoke solutions.
A shared approach to design
Doors have always played an important role within our interiors. Rather than treating them as purely functional elements, we consider how they relate to walls, materials, colors and the proportions of a space.
Together with Albo, we explored how this approach could be translated into a dedicated collection of interior doors. Studio Piet Boon brought the design vision; Albo contributed more than forty years of technical expertise, craftsmanship and production knowledge.
The result is GRID, the first Albo designer collection created in collaboration with Studio Piet Boon.
From design to product
Developing GRID required close attention to both the overall composition and the smallest details. Lines, proportions and relief define the character of each door, while Albo’s expertise translates these elements into technically refined products.
The collection consists of four designs: GRADIENT, RHYTHM, INTERVAL and DIVIDE. Each has its own composition, yet all four share the same design language.
