The Piet Boon by COCOON collection, of which the outdoor shower is part, consists of bathroom and kitchen taps, baths, sinks and chests of drawers. The partnership with COCOON arose from a shared passion for functional design and has expanded through years of experience and successful collaboration. The products in the collection are made of various high-quality materials, such as natural stone, wood and AISI 316L stainless steel.
The mix of these products and materials, in combination with the Piet Boon color palettes, ensures that the philosophy is to complement each other and every environment, and to form a harmonious whole. This provides contemporary living spaces with peace and serenity.
Design
The design of the outdoor shower, like the kitchen and bathroom taps, has the Piet Boon KEKKE shape, reflected in the design of the shower head. This characteristic shape was inspired by the simplicity and symmetry of geometric shapes. The design combines functionality with pure lines and elegant shapes and is reflected in many other Piet Boon products, such as the shower sets, KEKKE dining chair, coffee- and side tables and mirror. The typical KEKKE shape may be recognized by its rounded corners.
Functionality
The outdoor shower is versatile in its applicability because it is freestanding. Like all the taps in the collection it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The shower is also equipped with progressive temperature control and a lever for operation. The handle is part of the outdoor shower and is located around the bar that forms the shower.
Materials and colors
The entire collection of showers and faucets is made of high-quality AISI 316L stainless steel, resistant to corrosion and salt. The material is ecologically sound, lead-free by nature and in compliance with the strict worldwide regulations regarding the drinking water supply. The products are made by hand and by machine in Italy and are available in the colors ‘Gunmetal Black’, ‘Brushed Stainless Steel’ and ‘Raw Copper’ and have a matte appearance. The products in the colors Gunmetal Black and Raw Copper also have a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finish, which makes them more resistant to scratches and ensures color retention.
