Studio Piet Boon goes for bold with the new BOB armchair and RENS sofa

Kicking off this spring with bold and comfortable designs, Studio Piet Boon expands its Living collection with the BOB armchair and RENS sofa.
Studio Piet Boon designs its award-winning products with an equal combination of comfort and aesthetics — the BOB and RENS are no exception. Each of these new creations bring a level of comfort and grandiosity to enrich any home. Both the BOB and RENS explore the strength of simplistic shapes that are subtle and based on uncompromising quality. Our design team creates with a strong belief that the different elements in any living space and the accompanying color palette should form a coherent whole. With the BOB and RENS, Studio Piet Boon brings together — in a bold and seamless manner — a perfect balance between functionality, aesthetics and individuality.
BOB
The BOB allows the user to be embraced like royalty. It’s laid-back, fluid and throne-like silhouette is formed by a high backrest and deep seat with cushions made of high-resilience foam and a layer of polyester fibers for maximal comfort. Unique to this armchair are overlapping elements in the rear, which can be upholstered in leather or fabrics from the signature Piet Boon collection. For a touch of contrast, the cushions can be covered in material different from that selected for the back of the armchair. By incorporating this option, Studio Piet Boon aims to offer a sense of play and dynamism in interior design, making the BOB armchair a resplendent addition to the Piet Boon Living collection.
RENS
After much demand, the RENS will be our first sofa to offer an adjustable backrest and customizable seating, while retaining an interplay of lines in the design. It comes with a removable cover that’s available in various sizes and in a wide selection of Piet Boon curated fabrics and leathers. The sofa is also accompanied by a set of several oak wood tables and trays, designed to be used as modules, buffer elements or center coffee tables, in conjunction with poufs.
By taking modularity to the extreme, the design team of Studio Piet Boon has crafted a classic sofa that is curvilinear in form, thoughtful in detail, accommodating in size, and gives the ultimate in comfort. The RENS can be arranged for small, medium or large families in different spaces. With a volume-oriented approach, Studio Piet Boon aims to offer an elegant, functional and extremely modular sofa that harmonizes with any space, while inviting people to get comfortable in its bold and generous style.
Simultaneously with the launch of the new additions to the living furniture collection, we will introduce a new selection of indoor fabrics, luxury leathers and high performance fabrics. The colors are selected from the familiar Piet Boon color palette and offer surprising structures. The fabrics and leathers can be applied to all Piet Boon designs and are, just as the BOB and RENS, available in our Flagship Store.
