Piet Boon customizes his ultimate Defender 90 for Land Rover

17 March 2022

In collaboration with Land Rover, Piet Boon has configured a personal Defender 90 SE that respects the original design.

Customizing the all-wheel-drive icon, Piet Boon has built a Land Rover to his personal specifications: Pangea Green paint and a Satin Protective Film for the body, a contrasting white roof, 22 inch glossy black alloy wheels, and ebony grained leather and robust woven textile seats. A Light Grey powder-coated brushed finish was selected for the dashboard and an innovative jump seat in the front row, making it a six-seater.

The partnership between Piet Boon and Land Rover started in 2006. Since then, they have worked on a number of unique special editions based on the Range Rover, Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Sport and classic Land Rover Defender. Always with the utmost respect for the original design.

"I have a great fondness for the Land Rover Defender. Gerry McGovern has done an excellent job with the design of the new Defender."

Piet Boon designs Defender 90

“I put the Defender 90 together the way I wanted it: clean and minimalistic without compromising its robust and rugged character. The protective film with satin finish fits in perfectly with that, and now I can really use the car for what it's intended for: a carefree drive on the road and even off-road, should the occasion arise.”
