Studio Piet Boon to design first Dutch Curio Collection by Hilton hotel
09 January 2022
We are proud to announce that we have been commissioned to design the entire interior of the first Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in The Netherlands. The hotel is set in a 14th-century castle named ‘Kasteel Gemert Eindhoven’, which will undergo a major renovation to transform it into a five-star ‘high-end domain of fascination’ for both business and leisure. Our team of designers will shape all 56 guestrooms, 2 restaurants, a bar, an indoor meeting room, a large outdoor event space, as well as the spa and wellness spaces, including an indoor swimming pool.
Studio Piet Boon’s approach to design seeks to capture a contemporary aesthetic inspired by the castle’s rich cultural history. Our strong roots in residential design enable us to create welcoming and intimate rooms, for any length or purpose of a traveler’s stay.Â
A warm material palette of natural tones is chosen to create an atmosphere in which guests will feel at ease. Oversized lounge seating will be used to provide a subtle connection with the outdoors, overlooking the castle gardens, while retaining a feeling of intimacy and comfort. The hotel’s identity will be reinforced through design touches, as well as refined detailing, styling and art.
Kasteel Gemert Eindhoven, Curio Collection by Hilton is expected to welcome guests in 2024.
