A culinary ode to 10 years of Piet Boon Kitchen
Where taste and form meet
28 November 2025
To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Piet Boon Kitchen, we recently hosted an intimate dinner for a select group of guests in the Kitchen Flagship Store in Oostzaan.
Our aim was to inspire our guests on both a design and culinary level. For this evening, we developed four food concepts that aligned with the four kitchen concepts we highlighted. This created a creative dialogue between the visual and the gastronomic.
EDGE
Savory bites based on red beet sponge cake, beet–goat’s cheese mousse, and dry-aged beet mirror the textures of the EDGE kitchen. Presented on transparent acrylic platforms within the open, streamlined kitchen layout, they encouraged guests to move freely and interact with the kitchen in an intuitive way.
MASS
A balanced palette of vibrant vegetables formed the stage for small bites, such as radish with crème fraîche or celeriac cream with seaweed caviar. The open kitchen shows how technique, nature, and flavour come together in harmony, enhancing the interaction between kitchen and guests.
ELEMENT
Sourdough bread, butter shaped as a loaf, and tomato water jelly highlight bread as a universal symbol of nourishment and community. The countertop, an integral part of the considered kitchen design, served as the stage for this composition and for a live demonstration of pure, edible craftsmanship.
BRUTAL
Stainless steel coupes filled with Tuscan olives connect material, origin, and function. The polished steel contrasts with the clean lines of the kitchen and amplifies the tension between curves and geometry, placing presentation and guest interaction at the forefront.
The evening concluded with a special surprise: a unique cake shaped as a Piet Boon by Serax spoon. A delight for the eyes and a memorable finale.
