FRAME kitchen
A composed balance of character and refinement

With this new kitchen concept, the design team of Studio Piet Boon shows a complete and new living environment in which the new FRAME Kitchen plays the leading role. Spread over a 100 square meter setting, the new kitchen includes an integrated dining setting, fireplace and pantry. The open kitchen with cooking island is, through the use ofa custom-made tableware wall, a clear part of the entire setting. The symmetrical lines form the basis and ensure a smooth transition to the other sub-areas. The design shows that the kitchen can be an integrated part of a living space, with a view from the lounge seating area by the fireplace to the outdoor area. In this way, life outside is brought inside, creating a constant connection with the entire environment.

Design

The characteristic kitchen design of the Piet Boon FRAME Kitchen seems to be framed like a painting. With its pronounced and slightly protruding moldings, the design's lines are accentuated. For the arrangement of the kitchen in this new setting, the studio team chose a lacquered and brushed oak version. The warm yet light and elegant Piet Boon color SHELL shows the beauty of matte and glossy material combinations. For the kitchen worktop, the high-quality and true-to-nature material Caesarstone composite was chosen, in the color Bianco Drift. This material is well suited for intensive use, allowing the kitchen to retain its functional aspect in addition to its aesthetic addition to the room.

Design setting

Togetherness and commitment are given a central role in this setting. By creating vistas in the design, a connection with the entire space is created upon entering. There are logical sightlines to all spaces, which creates an airy atmosphere that invites you to further explore the space. The dining setting, with the kitchen in the lead, shows that this is the place where you want to live. It is the meeting place in the house, where much more than just cooking is done. The practicality of the space also plays an important role in the concept. It shows how detailed thought is given to functional spaces such as a utility room, storage and laundry room. Simple materials are usually chosen in these practical spaces. By choosing a corresponding color palette to match the surroundings, a proper alignment and balance is found.

The symmetrical lines in the design create a logical and organic flow through all the rooms and the custom-made display cabinet is part of the environment. The spacious fireplace is built from separate blocks which gives the room an architectural appearance. The living environment is further equipped with various products from the Piet Boon collection such as the BOB armchair by the fireplace and DUST wooden floor and shows a complete and balanced composition. Piet Boon's kitchen and styling products, such as pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses and vases, are also part of the setting.

Colors and materials

The oak kitchen, with kitchen cabinets equipped with a push to open system, is completely ton sur ton in the Piet Boon color SHELL. The integrated seating area shows the same warm color and material composition. Through a perfect coordination between material and color, from floors to kitchen top, a unity is created. The result is a spacious and serene environment that exudes tranquility. The fully fitted kitchen area is equipped with the latest technical innovations such as a steam oven and dishwasher with sensor for automatic opening. The built-in sink moves into the center of the Caesarstone kitchen worktop creating an extra generous workspace. The heat-resistant composite worktop is scratch-resistant, impact-resistant and wear-resistant, making it suitable for intensive use. The china cabinet, equipped with Piet Boon by Formani INC knobs, provides a connection to the dining area. The Piet Boon SAAR dining chairs and IDS dining table, among others, are used in the richly decorated dining set.
