Appointed by Malaysian real estate developer Selangor Properties Berhad, Studio Piet Boon was tasked with the interior design of 105 exclusive luxury designer condominiums in Kuala Lumpur: AIRA Residence. Where the very best from the West meets the refined elegance of the East.
With our interior design for AIRA we created ‘made to measure’ spaces according to their function. The spaces are never too big or too small and convey comfort and the sense of luxury. Due to the generous size of these homes and deviation in spaces we were able to create beautiful sight lines and viewpoints. Bigger family spaces are possible next to discrete private bedrooms with private en-suite bathrooms.
For AIRA Residence we managed to blend our concept of spatial arrangements with the East-Asian way of living. For this we researched the Malay culture, way of living and interior customs. In doing so we were able to embed our Western spatial arrangements according to the function of the spaces, use of (natural) light and clear sight lines in the Eastern way of living.
The first moment you enter the generous reception area, you are struck the beauty of materials, graphic patterns, exceptional high-quality details that are carried out throughout entire building. From garage, drop off or main entry, an instant feeling of home is experienced.
